My CV David Hemsworth
A self-motivated programmer who has a deep passion for programming, who has a
2:1 degree in computer games programming. I am looking for work in the
industry, so that I can further develop my own skills and meet new people with
similar interests to me. I am diligent in my craft and am I reliable team member, I will
make a great asset for your company and I look forward to seeing where my career
will go.
The reason why I am looking for work in the game industry is that I love gaming it something I truly have a passion for playing games are the best seeing how the characters are design and the way the mechanics are made is fantastic. So, my goal is to try and be a part of a company where I can let my ideas grow and help develop a game and watch that franchise grow.

Skills

• I have experience using multiple languages such as Java, Python, C# and my most
familiar language C++ in visual studio.
• I have experience working in a range of applications and Libraries such as Maya,
SFML, BOX2D, Unity, Unreal, Android Studio and OpenGL.
• I have excellent communication and teamwork skills as I oversaw the AI portion for
the final group assignment, I have also calibrated using GitHub on several other
games.
• I have consistent debugging skills as I use breakpoints, call stack and other methods
to debug my code.
• I am highly creative, and motivated to carry out the initial design I had for a project as
demonstrated in my final year project.
Employment:
2020-2021 Junior software engineer at blue print games:
Working with Qbridge, working on modifiers for the slot machine
games.
2018-2019 One Stop Shop Assistant:
Working the tills, checking the stock, making sure the shelfs are stacked correctly.
September 2012 to November 2016 Waitrose Supermarket Assistant:
Working the cages to put the stock put on the shelf, working the tills to serve the
customers.
Hobbies:
While I am not programming, I like to unwind by playing some games but I like to work on game design trying out different engines for example and creating little problems to learn new mechanics.
